I ate so many potatoes when I was little: I have watched my mom peel many of those fellas. We ate it so often, when I moved out I swore I would never peel and cook them myself. Guess? I was wrong. I started to miss them eventually and a good mashed potatoe is just something that makes any day better! It's a real Dutch classic too.
This painting is a result of me peeling them and realizing the scene could be a painting. So I snapped a pic and went to the studio the next day.
