I'm Lena Schots and I'm a painter from the beautiful city that is Rotterdam (The Netherlands), where I studied Philosophy (MA) and graduated in 2016.

My studies taught me how to use my brain, but it didn't teach me how to silence it every once in a while. In 2018 I decided to join a weekly painting class and ironically, I would never stop thinking about painting ever again. It immediately put a fire in my life that will be impossible to put out.

My work focuses mainly on still lifes and mixed media works, with a clear attention to creating contrast (in colours but also materials).
